Town of Boisbriand, Quebec Waste Water Treatment
The client
The client's needs
The town of Boisbriand has a "biological filtration" type waste water treatment plant which has been started-up in 1990. Following the town's important industrial, residential and commercial growth, the waste water treatment plant couldn't meet the environmental requirements for its wasted water anymore.
Our solution
John Meunier Inc. suggested the installation of one (1) Actiflo® clarification unit which has improved the treatment at the waste water treatment plant and more specifically has reduced the load admitted to the biological aerated filters (BAF).
The Actiflo® clarifier was installed in 1998 as secondary treatment upstream the BAF. With this process, the existing BAF were able to meet the environmental requirements.
We also supplied the chemical titration systems and the process control system. John Meunier has realized the project's engineering, the treatment units manufacturing, piping and installation of this equipment.
